IVR Script Formatting

• General formatting:
• All prompts must start with a number (which shall be consecutive).
• Ex: 1. Please leave your message after the tone.

• Complete phrase format:
• Begin with a capital letter and end with one period.
• Ex: 2. Please enter it now.

• Partial phrase format:
• Starting phrases:
• Begin with a capital letter and end with three periods.
• Ex: 3. To access our directory…
• Ending phrases:
• Start with three periods, do not capitalize and end with one period.
• Ex: 4. …press two now.
• Middle phrases:
• Start and end with three periods and do not capitalize.
• Ex: 5. …to leave a message for...
